Valerii Petrichenko
Founder, Developer & VPN Performance Researcher
I started InternetSpeed.online in August 2023 and have 10 years of experience in software testing. My work has covered backend services, frontend interfaces, websites, desktop and mobile applications, integrations, and migrations.
I run the project myself, handling development, test configuration, measurement automation, data review, and publication. This combines my software testing experience with an interest in understanding how internet connections and VPN services perform in practice.
My work at InternetSpeed.online
I develop and maintain the website and its measurement tools, and personally test both paid and free VPN services. The project collects daily measurements and builds a performance history to help readers understand how results change over time.
My goal is to give people useful evidence when comparing VPNs, beyond marketing claims or a single speed test. The current VPN speed testing methodology describes the test setup, procedures, and limitations.
Independence and responsibility
I personally fund the project's equipment, servers, and VPN subscriptions. VPN providers cannot pay for ranking positions or control the publication of results. The project's funding and editorial independence policy explains these principles.
I am responsible for reviewing and publishing the results. The project does not currently have an external reviewer or independent validation of its measurements.
